![]() Even back in the mod-days, people were looking to change up the formula with unique map ideas (KF-Tower has been, to my knowledge, the only "finished" attempt, where the wave-based gameplay removed the trader entirely and instead opened a new part of the map every round and you had to move on to find new weapons) and the retail even had a competitive mod or two like a GunGame mode. You can't really bring the KF2 argument, to be honest - that community DID want a competitive mode for ages, mostly so they had anything different from the usual 'sit in a corner and shoot every enemy' gameplay that it had for now basically a whole decade. in gaming is yet to be able to think like a human mind and make it's own cooperative tactics. KF2 had less players than KF1, and a lot ACTUALLY PREFER PVP, due to it bringing diversity and a MUCH different balance scale between players, making replayability even higher due to the fact that A.I. L4D2 is alive with 10k players with no content updates for already 3-4 years (or more), and a miniscule of the amount of playtime that it takes to get through all the content and finish it.Īs for your arguement, there's no backing evidence at all, whatsoever.
